Grade 1: Intervals
Look at the C major scale.
C is the first note of the scale. The fourth, fifth and seventh note of the scale are F, G, and B.
We say the interval (or gap) that C makes with F is a 4th. The interval that C makes with G is a 5th. The interval that C makes with B is a 7th.
